FMEA Domain Expert

About the Role

We are hiring an onshore FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) Domain Expert based in Munich, Germany. In this consulting role, you will lead quality planning and risk assessments for safety-critical enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead FMEA workshops (DFMEA, PFMEA), identifying design vulnerabilities and process failures.
• Calculate risk priority numbers (RPN), assess severity levels, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Author risk analysis documentations and present mitigation plans to executive sponsors.
• Audit product development processes, identifying systemic improvements to minimize failures.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience leading FMEA processes in aerospace, automotive, or medical devices.
• Expert-level knowledge of VDA/AIAG FMEA methodologies and risk management standards.
• Deep familiarity with industrial quality compliance frameworks (AS9100, ISO 26262, or similar).
• Native or professional fluency in German and English.
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background in quality systems.
